Cyprus is a very popular place to get married these days – and with good reason.
Here’s some great reasons to plan your wedding in Cyprus.
- It’s sunny and warm the majority of the year. The statistics talk about 340 days of sunshine a year. That’s probably stretching it to include days when the sun only shines some of the time – but during the March to November season you’ll be unlucky to have a bad day for your wedding in Cyprus.
- Island of Love. Cyprus’ history is inextricably tied up with Aphrodite, Goddess of Love. When you actually read up about Aphrodite, it sounds like she was a bit of a girl. But then, what’s wrong with a modern woman arriving before her time?
- Lots to see and do. Whatever you fancy doing with your lover when you get married in Cyprus, it’s is a great place to do it. Activities? Loads… Eating and drinking? Loads…
Our advice would be to avoid the wedding packages put together by the major travel companies. They’re done down to a price. And that concept doesn’t fit with you having a special day.
Better to use some of their wedding package, but sort out the important elements yourself. Some of the wedding suppliers we’ve seen in Cyprus and can recommend are:
Love Island Cakes. If you want a hand made wedding cake to your particular designfor your wedding in Cyprus, check out Love Island Cakes. They’ll work with you to create your perfect cake, and then deliver it to your reception on your special day.
Only You Weddings. Lots of people use a Wedding Planner to help them make arrangements on the ground in Cyprus. Its very handy having somebody in Paphos to help you. They know what works and what doesn’t to ensure your special wedding day goes off without hitch (apart from you get hitched of course!). Only You Weddings can do all that for you and more.
Ficardo Restaurant. Looking for a traditional restaurant in Paphos for your wedding reception? Ficardo’s Restaurant is perfect. They’ll cater for 2 or 200 guests, and you can have it all to yourself. Fancy a dip? It’s very close to the sea. Fancy your own music? Bring your iPod.
